ONE ILOCOS SUR!

 

The Kannawidan festival is one of the events that people is thrilled to see every year.  This Festival compremise all the municipalities in Ilocos Sur. They showcase their culture and tradition in their town. All Ilocanos participate in this event and share their talent. Many amazing events happened which not only shows entertainment but also knowledge that imparted to the viewers by knowing the history and heritage of their beloved municipality and of Ilocos Sur.


The Ms. Ilocos sur is one of my favorite events during the festival. Each municipality have a candidate to represent and compete to win the crown. Each candidate showcase their local product by creating a costume with many vibrant and beautiful colors.


Tawid ken Kultura: Ilocos Sur Trade & Food Expo. It enhance the culture of each municipality and encourage others to take a look and witness different kinds of products. 


The trade expo exhibits beautiful tents acknowledging each municipality their culture and local products. You can see that in each tent contains vibrant colors that match the palette of each municipality.


The food expo, you can see many variety of food stalls where you can try and will surely come back for more. You can try out many of the pride and joy of food delicacies each municipality. 


The Float parade is definitely a wonderful sight to see! You can learn about the heritage of each municipality while being entertained by watching all the float pass by.

The Value of Motherhood Seen Through Our Eyes

  We celebrate Mother’s day to give respect and honor to our mothers. This celebration recognizes the efforts of maternal relationships, the contributions of mothers, and the significance of motherhood in our society. All different kinds of mother; single moms, fur mom , step-mom, and a dad or a sibling who is treated as the mother in the family. Cherish and appreciate all the efforts they had given just to have a great life. It is a day that serves to remind individuals worldwide of the value and significance of mothers in their lives and is commemorated as a day that recognizes all mothers throughout the globe.        May 14th 2023. C. Joybell once said, “We can’t be afraid of change.
